The exhibit, Between Seasons, can be understood as an exploration of transitional spaces and emotional states. Through scenes of travel, waiting, quiet observation, that portray moments that exist between one experience and another—between departure and arrival, solitude and companionship, memory and the present, or one season and the next.
The intent is to be less about depicting a specific event than about capturing a mood of suspension. In this image, two elderly people and a young woman occupy the same section of the ferry yet remain emotionally separate, suggesting different personal journeys unfolding alongside one another. The passing landscape, birds, and subdued winter light reinforce the sense of change and impermanence. Together, the elements invite viewers to reflecton aging, movement, isolation, and the quiet uncertainty that accompanies periods of transition.
